Abstract

There is no dispute that sports hold today a very important position as a field impacting individuals and nations. its news are followed throughout the world by a large number of people using different languages, making thereby the translation an essential tool for sports’ news circulation. We focus through this paper, on the specificities of journalistic text conveying sports’ information, as well as on the relevant translation strategies. Subsequently, this paper aims at defining the best translation strategies to be used in such type of texts. Finally, some recommendations are found to be useful for improving the journalistic sports text translation and overcoming the different hindrances linked to its translation.
