Berman’s efforts in translation: disapproved or praiseworthy

Antoine Berman is one of the most famous French translatologists of our time. His theoretical contributions to the science of translation are widely spread, considered and studied all over the world. The purpose of this paper is to introduce that translatologist briefly, and shed light at some of the positive and negative sides of his contributions, in the eyes of translation theoreticians and scholars.
