Abstract

Out of a desire to convey concepts related to interdisciplinarity that have emerged in foreign linguistic contexts into Arabic, and given the importance of this epistemological approach in developing research methodologies in the humanities, as well as promoting scientific and linguistic openness within an interdisciplinary framework, we have chosen in this research paper to translate the article by Edgar Morin titled On Interdisciplinarity. This article was published in The Interactive Bulletin of the International Center for Transdisciplinary Research and Studies, Issue No. 2 – June 1994, originally in French. The text analyzes the necessity and benefits of interdisciplinary openness and the formation of interdisciplinary projects, ultimately leading to new models and scientific restructuring.
