Abstract

Economic translation is a branch of specialized translation that deals with texts of precise terms and specific meaning. Like general translation, it uses translation procedures known in general texts, such as direct translation and indirect translation, and these procedures contribute to most translation problems related to literal translation that do not even lead to meaning, even it is linguistically correct. Therefore, our research presents a detail of these translation procedures and an explanation of the modulation procedure and its types and the extent of its contribution - through examples- in reaching an appropriate translation with regard to economic texts.
