Translating Collocations in Legal Text Contrastive Approach: French/Arabic

The purpose of this article is
to highlight the phenomenon of
collocations as a feature of the legal text.
We will first discuss the main features of
the legal text. Secondly, we will try to
present a definition of collocation in
general and legal collocation in particular
as well as the different forms in which it
could occur. And finally, we will look at
the Arabic translation of French legal
collocations, in order to follow the fate of
these collocations during their transfer to
the language of Dâd.
