Abstract

 The research seeks to study an important aspect of the speech and its uses. It is the prohibited language or what it avoid to pronounce and listen to for various reasons and to bypass it by employing the metonymy. And the Holy Quran contains rhetoric and height of expression misses in others , and it deals with the Prohibited language using metaphorical and polite words. As for its translation into English and French, it did not achieve. what is achieved by Arabic language, although the translation is literal and moral, or by adding the explanation and the purpose of the prohibited term, which is expressed by another term under the heading of the metonymy.
