Abstract

The description is one of the essential elements of the literary text, its importance is not limited to preserving coherence and sequencing ideas and events in the novel, but goes so far as to communicate intentionality intended by the author, undeclared intentionality. In this article, we approach intentionality in the pragmatics, which studies it through several elements, including context, in order to define the degree of translatability of descriptive units whose communicative function is conveyed by the intentional meaning.
