Abstract

This paper explores significance of Isochrony strategies in dubbing animation. The dubber not only matches the on-screen actor's mouth movements with appropriate words, but also strives to fit the translated dialogue within the time it takes for the actor to open and close their mouths. Criticisms of inadequately dubbed films frequently hinge upon isochrony discrepances, an aspect readily noticed by viewers. Consequently, this paper presents the two primary strategies for addressing isochrony issues, alongside the translation techniques available to overcome such challenges.
