Abstract

In the present paper, we will discuss the essential issues of translation by shedding light on difficulties which face the specialized translator especially in the legal translation. Moreover , in our research we will focus on the equivalence strategy in general and on the legal concept in particular, by giving a deep sight at the common types of equivalence in the legal translation such as functional equivalent and lexical equivalent, and their applicability ,effectiveness throughout questions which are as follows : what means the equivalence in the legal translation ? What is the most effective equivalent in it? And what are the contributions and aspects of each type?
