Abstract

Abstract: In this study, we attempt to reveal the concepts of the narrative semiotics in the Arab criticism, focusing on the following books: An introduction to the narrative semiotics of Said Ben krad, The narrative structure in the theory of Semiotics of Rachid Benmalek, In the narrative discourse: the Greimas’ theory of Mohamed ennacer el ojaimi, and The semiotic analysis of the narrative discourse of Abdelmadjid Noussi, we aim at knowing the response of these writers to the Greimas’ approach in terms of defining the narrative semiotics and the difference between them in translating some concepts, and the impact of it on the practical texts. Keywords: semiotics, the semiotic square, the discursive program, translation.
