: Presented to the arab reader in general and the Algerian reader in particular, this translation of Hartmut Rosa’s “what is social acceleration? It is an attempt to monitor the most important thing that distinguishes late modern societes, which is the acceleration of the pace of social life, and the violent forms of alienation that result from it modern life is a constant acceleration, as individuals in all modern societies suffer from a lacke of time, which is what we feel in the necessity of always moving quickly. Not in order to achieve a gool, but in order to simply remain in the same place, and this is the from of paradoxe. Instead of technical acceleration moking us again a lot of time, it instead led to a contraction of the present, and then to what he calls “temporal famine” or lack of time this text is an attempt to investigate the causes and effects of the acceleration process of modernity by preparing a critical theory for time in the late modernity.
