Multilingualism in Algeria and the cultural integration problem Title in English *

Abstract

This article study the conceptual approach to multilingualism, as an important phenomenon in the algerian context, and among the most important problems that occupy public opinion in society( linguistic and cultural issues), languages in Algeria is one of the most important issues that concern the legislator, the politician, and the people, and it is one of the highest ways to advance society culturally, scientifically and politically. This paper tries to find out: Does the multilingualism in Algeria contribute to the richness of the cultural aspect, or is it destructive? Therefore, we seek to clarify the relationship between the Arabic language and the Tamazight language and the french language , and to show its reflection on the cultural environment, in terms of the linguistic coexistence between the two languages in the Algerian society, highlighting the positive and negative side of this multilingualism and looking for solutions to invest in the positive side.
