Abstract

This article explores the lack of recognition for translators' rights in the world of authorship and publishing, where translations are considered derivative works of the original. It sheds light on the rights that preserve the translators' position by clarifying the legal status, especially regarding the concept of originality and creativity as defined in international treaties, particularly concerning classic intellectual products. We concluded that issues regarding copyright, authorship, and ownership of texts in the digital world are intricate, necessitating due consideration for the rights of different stakeholders, including authors, translators, software developers, and various users of translation products.
