An analytical study of linguistic issues in Greek Philosophy: Plato and Aristotle are examples

Abstract

This study comes in the context of taking part of the fundamental concept of the philosophy of language, which stems from its call to re-read ancient philosophical texts. Specifically interested in studying language. And an attempt to approach its topics and include them within the topics of modern language philosophy. It also aims to attempt to open a scientific window into the edifice of the ancient philosophical heritage, through which we can see the most important discussions of Greek philosophers on the issue of language in its various manifestations.

 The study reached a general conclusion that can be summarized in the originality of the contribution of Greek philosophy in linguistic research with various specializations, the depth of its influence, and the extension of this influence to all the civilizations that followed it into existence.
