Abstract

This article, which was translated from English-its original language-into Arabic, includes one of the most famous classifications of methods, which Donald Marcuse made based on the stages of research, unlike Whitney who made it based on the stages of thinking, and Marcuse, who has great experience in research in the human and social sciences, tried in this work to provide a more accurate and rigorous classification, and sought to give a rich epistemological dimension to his views and discussed in depth some of the opposing views in conceptualizing science and method, while some of these views may be taken and rejected, others are still valid and can be strongly invoked and adopted without hesitation.
